Robert is a Austin-based performer and transplant from Chicago. His eclectic performance background spans a vast range of mediums, from opera and theatre, to dance, improv, and even a little bit of drag that one time! This summer he steps into a dream role portraying Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast with Magnolia Musical Theatre

 

The majority of his work can be seen in and throughout the Chicagoland area. Most recently, Robert was seen with Steppenwolf Theatre as Juanga in the world premier of the stage and audio adaptation of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter written by Erika L. Sánchez, adapted by Isaac Gomez, and Directed by Sandra Marquez and Audrey Frances.

Select Chicago credits include: The Midwest premier of I Wanna Fucking Tear You Apart by Morgan Gould (Rivendell Theatre); Big Fish (Boho Theatre); For Services Rendered  (Griffin Theatre); United Flight 232 (The House Theatre); 1776, Woman of the Year, and Fade Out, Fade In (Porchlight Music Theatre), The View Upstairs (Circle Theatre); Yank! A WWII Love Story  (Pride Films and Plays); The Fantasticks (Quest Theatre Ensemble), Jesus Christ Superstar (The Public Theatre San Antonio), and Swan Lake (Ballet San Antonio).

Robert is a graduate of the North East School of the Arts in San Antonio, TX and holds a Bachelor's degree in Voice Performance from the Music Conservatory, Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.
