Robert is a Chicago-based performer and transplant from San Antonio, Texas. The son of a cattle farmer and nurse, his exposure to theatre was very much self-motivated. His eclectic performance background spans a vast range of mediums, from opera and theatre, to dance, improv, and even a little bit of drag that one time!
The majority of his work can be seen in and throughout the Chicagoland area. Most recently, Robert was seen with Steppenwolf Theatre as Juanga in the world premier of the stage adaptation of I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter written by Erika L. Sánchez, adapted by Isaac Gomez. This past season he was seen with Rivendell Theatre as Leo in the Midwest premier of I Wanna Fucking Tear You Apart by Morgan Gould, Karl, The Giant in Big Fish with Boho Theatre, and Collie in For Services Rendered with Griffin Theatre.
Select Chicago credits include: United Flight 232 (The House Theatre); 1776, Woman of the Year, and Fade Out, Fade In (Porchlight Music Theatre), The View Upstairs (Circle Theatre); Yank! A WWII Love Story (Pride Films and Plays); The Fantasticks (Quest Theatre Ensemble), Jesus Christ Superstar (The Public Theatre San Antonio), and Swan Lake (Ballet San Antonio).
